Dr P Psychiatry Limited provides private assessments and treatment of common mental disorders in adults. In addition to a friendly, warm and relaxed atmosphere during assessment, the process will be systematic and thorough, considering specific ICD 10 diagnostic criteria as well as rating the severity of mental disorders.
Dr Pretorius has been training in Liaison Psychiatry many years of experience in Liaison Psychiatry in different settings. This field includes anything in the interface or overlap between physical and mental health conditions.

All assessments will be online to facilitate ease of access from the comfort of each patient’s home.
With several years of experience working online Dr Pretorius uses multiple video conferencing platforms and will support patients in making this work.
Assessment and a full report can be provided within 14 days of the appointment being requested, depending on patient availability.
This assessment can provide an expert opinion regarding current mental health but cannot negate or overrule previous psychiatric diagnoses or opinions unless all previous records are available.
The typical time demand for providing Liaison Psychiatry assessment and report is 1.5 to 2 hours (excluding additional time of 1hour / 100 pages of records).
